Original cut signature. EASTLAKE, Charles Lock (1793-1865). Autograph signature clipped from a letter, in brown ink on laid paper. Approximately 5cm by 2cm so small, mounted. Eastlake was President of the Royal Academy and later Director of the National Gallery, playing a significant role in shaping mid-Victorian artistic taste and institutional collecting.
