Memoir by Millicent Garrett Fawcett, reflecting on her personal life, marriage to Henry Fawcett, and her central role in the constitutional suffrage movement. Later chapters address the development of organised suffrage work, internal divisions within the movement, and the impact of the First World War on women's political campaigning. Illustrated throughout with period photographs. A third print copy from the library of Kit Mouat, journalist, novelist, and political writer, who held strong interests in liberal, humanist and feminist history.
