Original letter. PRINCE ADOLPHUS, Duke of Cambridge (1774-1850). Two autograph letters signed to Count von Kielmansegg. Cambridge House, 28 November 1842. Two separate leaves, each approx. 150 × 110 mm, written one side only in the Prince's hand. Light old mounting traces to one, otherwise clean and well preserved. Very good.  The letters concern a communication received from the Prince of Schwarzburg, identified as Friedrich Günther, Prince of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt (1793-1867). Both letters serve as a formal covering note transmitting the original enclosure and requesting that Kielmansegg reply on the prince's behalf. One letter is in German and the other English.  A clear example of Anglo-Hanoverian royal administrative practice, issued for the same purpose on the same day .  Both written and signed by Queen Victoria's uncle / George III's seventh son.  . Very Good. Soft cover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1842.
