First edition. 8vo., blue cloth boards, decorated with gilt to the spine, with the original dust jacket; pp. [vi] 1-322; A very good copy, the front and last free end paper has a couple of light tape scorch marks, presumably from an old jacket protector. There is a previous bookseller's small stamp to the last end paper. The jacket is sunned to the spine. It hasn't been clipped.  The author's dark novel about the concept of Hell: its landscape, scenery and the damned that live there. He tells the story of a man / woman and dog and their journey into the dark underworld.  .
