  • Condition: Very Good
Faber & Faber. First edition published by Faber and Faber in 1932. A very good or better copy. The fragile wrapper has been price clipped, otherwise it is all there. The spine has browned and there is some wear to the spine ends. There is a tear to the bottom of the lower flap and this has been repaired on the reverse by archival tape. The green boards are in nice shape and the book is square. The purple top stain is visible and has not faded. There is light and sporadic foxing to the side text block. There is no writing inside and no bookplates.  The Last Medici is the first of three biographies Harold Acton wrote about historical Italian families: the Medicis and the Bourbons.  Acton in this first volume discusses the Medici grand dukes and in particular their final undoing.   . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1932.
