This is the first appearance of Deathwatch on the Southside in English; an earlier version entitled The Night They Kept Vigil in the South, with parallel Spanish text titled La noche que en el sur lo velaron, previously appeared in the Anthology of Contemporary Latin-American Poetry (1942). Small oblong quarto, pp. 12. Sewn pale blue and white wrappers, front cover lettered in black. A couple of tiny marks to front cover, else a bright, fine copy.
