King, Stephen; Straub, Peter

  • Publisher: Donald M. Grant
  • Published: 2002 , North Hampshire
  • Condition: Fine
Limited Edition: Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, Publisher, Inc., 2002. Signed by Stephen King, Peter Straub, and Rick Berry, this being copy number 721 of 1,520. Original black leather binding, titles in silver to spine and upper board, small insect device stamped in gilt to upper board. Housed in the original black leather tray-case, lettered in silver to spine and the front, the interior lined in emerald-green felt. Without dust jacket, as issued. Illustrated throughout with full-page colour plates by Rick Berry. A fine copy. The binding square and tight, the boards deep and unfaded, retaining their original lustre; corners sharp, spine straight. The contents immaculate, the paper stock fresh and bright, the illustrations vivid and entirely free from handling or blemish. The tray-case likewise fine: structurally firm, the black leather clean and unmarked, the silver lettering crisp, and the green felt lining vibrant and unworn. The signed limited issue of Black House, the long-awaited sequel to The Talisman (1984), representing the second major collaboration between King and Straub. Donald M. Grant?s handsome production, augmented by Rick Berry's atmospheric artwork and signed by both authors and the artist. A superior example in exemplary condition.
