Left page contains poems for dates; right page contains blank space for writing under each date. Pages 39-40 & 65-66 with binding faults - creasing and some distortions at the gutter. Some very slight browning on preliminary leaves. Rounded corners. Original marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Ink ownership inscription on verso of front free endpaper, dated 1907. A small number of ink and pencil contemporary name entries dotted throughout. 50 x 56 mm. Original navy buckram. Spine with art nouveau stylised gilt border and gilt title / "London". Elaborately gilt-stamped front cover. Very mild wear to the gilding and at the top and bottom of the spine. A few minuscule light spots on the upper cover. Welsh dates to ca.1900, but printer is listed as "His Majesty's Printer" on colophon, which dates volume to after death of Queen Victoria in 1901. Welsh lists a single copy in a 1967 Bondy catalogue, priced at £7 and 10 shillings (about £250 in today's equivalent). Bondy, 121. Welsh, 6075. OCLC, 1053066584.
