Included is an original compliments page, signed (in Agatha Christie's hand) 'With Agatha Christie's Compliments' and dated March 6th 1937. The page is headed 'Green Lodge', 58 Sheffield Terrace, W8 - this was the residence of Christie and Max Mallowen at the time the book was written. Cards on the Table by Agatha Christie is a classic Hercule Poirot mystery, published in 1936. The novel revolves around a dinner party hosted by the enigmatic Mr. Shaitana, who boasts of collecting people who have "gotten away with murder." During the evening, Shaitana is murdered while his guests—four suspected killers and four detectives, including Poirot—play bridge.
