Guests of the Nation - basis for 'The Crying Game'

London: Macmillan, 1931. A first edition, first printing published by Macmillan in 1931. A very good book with a previous owner's small label to the front pastedown. Some sunning to the spine and to the corners, commensurate with the chipping to the dust wrapper edge. The dust wrapper has chipping to the top of the spine and a little the edges and corners. Neat closed tear to the rear panel head. The Irish author's debut uncommon collection of short stories. The titular story inspired the acclaimed 1992 film 'The Crying Game' directed by Neil Jordan.
