Contemporary panelled calf, corners worn and repaired, rebacked with a maroon label. Originally published as "A Worlde of Wordes" in 1598 and revised as "Queen Anna's New World of Words" in 1611, Florio is ranked third by one study, behind Shakespeare and Chaucer, in the amount of words contributed to English.
