First UK edition, first impression. The basis for the 1975 film adaptation. Striking cover design by Tom Simmonds. Original cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. A couple of spots to the bottom edge of text-block that encroach slightly on the bottom edge of the opening 20 or so pages, near fine otherwise. The original and unclipped dust jacket is very good or better with a soft crease to the spine panel and some toning to top edge of verso. Spine lettering still bright and unfaded.
