Clever Polly : Scarce With The Wrapper

The First UK printing published by Faber, London in 1952. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. Small: 12.5 x 15.5 cm. Some very light pushing and fading at the extreme spine tips and corners. One small mark to the front board. Internally clean with just a little offsetting to the blank end-papers. The scarce WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good+ condition. A little loss and rubbing at the spine ends and some tiny losses at the corners. Light edge wear with a few nicks, creasing and light rubbing in places. Two closed tears to the front lower edge and rear upper edge have had small repairs to the verso. A small closed tear to the upper front flap fold. The wrapper remains striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. Profusely illustrated throughout in five colours by Dorothy Craigie.
