Throughout her lifetime she was known as one of the most accomplished sculptors of animal and human forms: men, dogs, horses and birds were her most consistent subjects. Her graphic work and drawings privileged the same themes and were executed with the same simplicity and sense of texture that can be found in her sculptural work.
