Recent panelled calf, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered red label, all edges red. Small loss to the title page at the gutter, occasional foxing, the final leaf soiled and with marginal wear. First published in 1582, Guidetti's directory of liturgical or Gregorian chant was hugely influential. It was published at intervals thereafter with this being, as the title page suggests, the final edition. The musical notation is beautifully printed in red and black throughout.
