Situation Wanted – Tom Guest

 02/11/2015

Educated at Winchester College and King's College London, I have a degree in War Studies and particular interest in Late Modern History.

I was formerly Gallery Assistant at Jonathan Potter Ltd with responsibilities for cataloguing maps and atlases, sales (in the gallery and online), customer liaison, office admin and attending book / map fairs. Following the closure of the London shop, I spent three months setting up Jonathan Potter's new gallery in Bath, a process that has included rationalising the company's IT and email processes.

Previous work in the trade was at Richard Way Books in Henley, researching and cataloguing ephemera relating to local history. Before entering the trade, I had worked in government (for UK Trade & Investment), in film distribution and the charity sector.

My IT skills include knowledge of the Bookseller database system, Microsoft Office, PC and Mac. I am comfortable running social media and Mailchimp email campaigns.

I will be available to start from the middle of November. For a copy of my CV, please contact me at: jltguest@ymail.com
